St. Patrick's Day is a BIG deal at McAuliffe’s Pub, 3700 Meachem Road, which starts the celebration on Friday, March 15, with a Pre-St. Patrick's Day Hooey, featuring the Irish folk band Celtic Streets will remain closed for the St. Patrick’s Day parade, and are expected to re-open by 1 p.m., except for block parties near Swede’s, 510 56th Street, and Captain Mike’s, 5118 Sixth Avenue. The block party areas will be closed until midnight March 15. People may park free of charge in the parking ramp on Eighth Avenue and 56th Street.
